The AADA welcomed the opportunity to provide a response to the inquiry into the value of skilled migration to Australia. The AADA recognises that a shortage of skilled workers, particularly among automotive technicians, places strain on business operations, delays consumer services, and limits productivity. The AADA submits that skilled migration remains a necessary and appropriate mechanism to help address these shortages, especially where domestic labour supply has not kept pace with demand.
