The AADA welcomed the opportunity to respond to the ‘Improving the efficiency of climate-related financial disclosures’ consultation paper. While supporting greater transparency of climate-related financial risks, the submission cautions against unnecessary or disproportionate compliance burdens on businesses not subject to mandatory reporting requirements. Therefore, the AADA has called for clearer boundaries around information requests and proportionate reporting requirements.
