Skill shortages in the automotive industry threaten to undermine the safety of Australia’s vehicle fleet as service, repair and maintenance procedures are delayed. This AADA submission recommends inclusion of automotive occupations in the Core Skills Occupation List (CSOL) to assist industry to fill the gaps in available skilled staff needed to work in the automotive industry.
