Cathy Freeman established the Cathy Freeman Foundation (CFF) in 2007 to help Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander children and their families recognise the power of education and achieve their goals and dreams.
The Foundation works with four very remote Indigenous communities including Palm Island, Woorabinda, Wurrumiyanga and Galiwin’ku. These communities suffer from some of the worst educational outcomes in Australia as well as some of the poorest human development indicators more broadly.
In order to get around these remote locations with the learning materials, the staff need transportation. The current cars donated some years back, need replacing and the foundation is looking for any AADA members who might be able to donate a car.
For more information on this worthy cause or to discuss donating a car please contact Andrew.
